Classes

Julie Koidin has degrees in flute performance from Northwestern University (DM and MM) and the University of Illinois, Champaign-Urbana (BM).

Dr. Koidin has been teaching private flute lessons since 1982 and has been teaching privately at various schools in the Chicago area ever since. She currently teaches at the following schools and organizations:

Loyola University, Chicago, IL  (Since Jan. 2007)
New Trier High Schools, Winnetka and Northfield, IL (Since 1992)
The Hyde Park Youth Symphony (Since 1992)
Lake Forest High School (Since 1997)
Loyola Academy, Wilmette, IL (Since 2001)

Private lessons for beginning to advanced levels, and all ages, are
designed to accommodate individual goals. They can include
assistance with ensemble and solo literature.

In addition to teaching private lessons, Dr. Koidin also teaches
masterclasses and workshops - both in "classical repertoire" and in
Brazilian choro. Her classes can be designed for beginners or for
advanced/professional players.

Dr. Koidin is currently listed as a member of the Fulbright "Senior
Specialists Roster."
